Shipping Container

An IES is shipped in an Eagle Manufacturing Company Model 1665 65-gallon salvage drum with metal bold band (80 cm diameter x 100 cm high, 31 in diameter x 39 in high). The weight of the drum alone is 53 lbs.

Transportation

The transportation of IES instruments containing lithium battery packs within, into or from the United States is classified as a Class 9 Hazardous material shipment and is subject to rules as outlined by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the United Nations.
