Are you interested in graduate study in 
Physical Oceanography?

We are seeking talented graduating students with thorough training in physics        and mathematics. Prior undergraduate training in oceanography is not expected; we are primarily interested in students with a strong background in fundamental science. 

The MS and PhD degrees offered in Physical Oceanography at GSO both involve a combination of coursework and individual research. Each student's individual program of study includes required courses, and a selection of classes tailored to the student's needs and interests. Students are encouraged to become actively involved in the ongoing research of the department as early as possible.
